The bill (Reg. No. 4111) suggests determine the notion of “merchant shipping safety” in article 1 of the applicable law. Under the bill, “merchant shipping safety is the condition of merchant shipping, when a proper level of human life and health protection, as well as that of water environment and preservation (protection) of property is established .”
Committee members upheld the bill, adoption of which will promote proper level of merchant shipping safety within the responsibility zone of the state of Ukraine.
